Ed Fendell was Head of the Communications Systems Section, Flight Control Division at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Johnson Space Center on July 20, 1969, when Apollo 11 landed on the Moon.
He was also credited with creating the video shots of the lunar module ascent stage departing the moon from the last three missions. This was achieved by remotely controlling the camera attached to the lunar rover. Hence his nickname "Captain Video"
