The envelope has the Apollo 13 Insignia printed on it, and is signed by Chris Kraft. Chris Kraft falls into the select group of NASA personnel who are considered to be the best of the best, and described as a legend of the early US space programs whose influence is still felt today. He basically invented mission control, the position of flight director and everyone who worked for the flight director. He was NASA’s first flight director and held this position through the Mercury program and was the guiding hand during the historic events such as the first manned flight and first spacewalk.
