An Apollo era seal that would have been used to provide a seal between two pieces of pipe, or where a pipe or valve was attached to an oxygen tank. The seal was produced by the Cosmodyne Corp, and bears Quality control stamps regarding the cleaning of the seal. There is a NASA cleaning specification alongside the Cosmodyne one, this places the item as a NASA component, but currently it is unknown where the seal would have been used. It could have been used in any of the three stages of the Saturn V, or a part of the H1 or J2 engines. There is also a possibility that it could have been used in the ground support equipment such as the launch tower pipework
