Another of my favourites is this beautiful book by Jon Hancock.
Magazine 'S' contained a set of some of the most iconic images ever taken, and this book is the story of it's journey and the events it recorded.
I came to know Jon through our common passion for the Apollo program, and he has helped me with the production of images for my collection.
The book was a gift that he very kindly inscribed to me, and there was a totally unexpected and welcome surprise contained inside. The surprise was that John has very graciously mentioned my name for nothing more than showing an interest in the project and having a look at it prior to publication.
I am deeply touched by the gesture, thanks Jon

This is another firm favourite, a NASA official history that covers the construction and subsequent use of the launch pads, equipment, and facilities that were used to put a man on the moon. It brings home just what a staggering achievement the moon landings were from a perspective of planning, organisation and management.
