This is a piece of the heatshield from Apollo 13's Command module Odyssey
The item has not been previously included although it predates the website. I was gifted the piece from Jon Hancock, and it was in a small plastic container and i was unsure how to display it. A while ago I considered having it encased in Acrylic. I was wary of entrusting it to a company who may not have worked with such artifacts so the idea was simmering away on the back burner. There is a very renowned seller of memorabilia called Florian Noller, and I receive a newsletter from him. In the January 2021 edition I saw some very nice small acrylic displays that he has commissioned and sells. I contacted him and struck a deal to get the fragment encased with a nice inscription on the front
