The model was started in March 2021 & Completed in March 2022
The model is 1-72nd Scale Falcon 9, Block 3
Mission CRS-11 Launch Date 3rd June 2017
The model was purchased from Buzz Media Labs 2017 and is a resin 3d print. I originally bought it to be displayed alongside a commemorative patch that was planned to be transported to the ISS on the CRS-11 flight. Part of the payload was rescheduled and the patch was eventually transported to the ISS aboard a later flight by an Antares/Cygnus.
The flight was significant in that it marked the first time that a Dragon capsule was reused
The model includes a piece of Mylar insulation that was flown aboard the ISS for over a year. The insulation was part of the packaging of a consignment of souvenir cloth patches that were sent up to the station and exposed to the vacuum of space prior to being returned.
The piece was purchased from Richard Garner (The owner of the Space Collective) and has been used to depict the insulation on the second stage Merlin engine
Note, this is not the commemorative patch the was flown to the ISS, this is a "generic" mission patch that can be purchased online.
